We live in an age of disconnection. Our communication is digital and this often dehumanizes people. An excellent way to make a real connection with people and to brand yourself online is to put a picture of yourself with your posts.
This is actually quite easy using a free online service called Gravatar. http://www.gravatar.com
You can have a picture associated with your email address. Any program that has included the coding to recognize gravatar.com will automatically look up and display your picture. WordPress, one of the most widely used blog softwares on the market today is gravatar enabled.
All you have to do is set up your picture on gravatar and tell gravatar to associate it with whatever email addresses you want to use with it and you’re done. Everything else is automatic! Easy peasy lemon squeezy!

You can set up different pictures for different email addresses. It’s very flexible.
Talk about an eye opener! This draws a stark contrast between the haves and the have-nots.
I was rudely slammed inty a cyber wall today when I loaded google like I’ve done billions of times before and started typing only to find that nothing was happening!
I clicked on the search box and everything was normal so I figured I’d done something wrong. I ignored it. Later I opened another window and saw the cursor show up in the box for an instant and then it disappeared!!! Again, no focus on the search box.
It seems this is a random bug hitting only some computers. I have two other computers in my office that work just fine. I thought there was some virus or malware that had wormed its way onto my primary computer so I went looking for solutions.
Oddly enough this seems to be a Google bug. For some unknown (to me) reason they “improved” their system and I’m the pleasant recipient of their handywork.
It seems the only way to get around this little “problem” would be to simply turn ON Google Instant. It wasn’t enough that I had to turn off that insidious beastly invention in the first place. Now it seems Google has a bug (which they haven’t fixed for over 3 months) that sort of, accidentally, perchance, gets fixed if you turn Google instant back on! YIKES!
Thanks to an amazing person who posted in one of the tons of threads and web sites I went through I found that by setting my home page to the following link Google works just fine. So if you’re having this problem you might try this fix.

From time to time I’ve had the desire to create a logo for different business ventures. They just make you look more professional. I looked all over the web and found a piece of software that I thought was the most professional, easiest, most cost effective and told myself that “one of these days” I’d go buy it. I just never seemed to need a logo enough, though to actually get around to buying it.
Well, that’s the bad news. The good news is that the manufacturer of that software, Laughing Bird, is running a test of Facebook and Twitter and for a while at least is giving the software away for free! I couldn’t believe it. Not a trial or limited version, mind you. They’re giving away the commercial version of their logo software!

If you see any value at all in designing your own logos then you should go snag your copy immediately. I don’t know how long they’ll keep testing this. Do it NOW! All they ask is that you sign up to their list and make a post on facebook and a post on twitter about their test and free give away. When I clicked their Facebook and Twitter links it automatically inserted the text for me. It couldn’t be easier.
Everyone wants to learn how to make money online but it seems that nobody knows how to go about doing that successfully. Here are some key ideas that may help you.
I say may because nobody can guarantee that they can help you. The only one that can help you is you.
Action equals success. Without action all the help in the world won’t help you. You have to take control of your own destiny by taking action. Nobody can do this for you. You’re the master of your own ship.
It’s been said that it’s easier to change the course of a boulder that’s rolling than one sitting still. Start moving. Make course corrections as you go along.
Action #1: Join the Warrior Forum. You’ll find tons of help and guidance from people from all over the world.
Action #2 : Join the War Room on the Warrior forum. It costs $37 but you’ll make more than that back the very first day just from the free WSOs that are given away in there.
Action #3 : Read the material you find on the Warrior Forum and in the War Room and find ONE system. Then implement it until you start making money.
This is a debate that has been going on since the beginning of membership sites online. No doubt you’ve aready read at least one article on this subject already. Why am I writing on this controversial topic again? Well I have an opinion, of course. 
You’re using the best membership software right now. You can scroll all the way to the bottom of the screen and see that there’s a link to the membership software that runs this site.
The site itself is running WordPress as the Content Management System (CMS) but what gives it the real power is WishList Member. At the bottom of the screen you’ll see a statement: “Powered by WishList Member – Membership Site Software ”. A click on that link will take you right to their website where you can get all kinds of information on this membership site software.
I’ve tried other systems. I don’t like them. They’re either too hard to set up, they’re heavily restricted in what you can do with them or they’re incompatible with what I need for a membership site.
This one has built in autoresponder integration and built in payment processor information along with being able to set up multiple membership levels and plenty of members.

The bottom line is that if you’re going to make money you’ll need a membership model that will allow you to make serious money on a regular basis. WishList Member comes in two varieties. If you just want to put it on one site it has a lower price. You can also pay a little more and have an unlimited number of sites you can install it on.
Do yourself a favor and at least spend a few minutes checking it out. It may not be what you like. It may be that you’re not ready to set up a membership site yet. It may be you just want to bookmark it so you don’t lose track of it. It may be that you’ve been looking for something to knock your socks off in the membership department.
It always amazes me that many people I talk to tend to feel like internet marketing is just a lot of smoke and mirrors or magic (hocus pocus). Apparently they’re of the impression that none of this stuff really works. The people selling systems and methods for making money online are nothing more than the snake oil salesmen of the 21st century.
The problem isn’t with all the systems but with the way the systems are being used. Oh, sure, there are some systems that are bogus but you can generally tell which ones are being offered by reliable people if you do a little research.
Believe it or not nearly 90% of the people purchasing money making systems never actually implement the systems they buy. I know that sounds amazing and almost impossible but it’s true.
Let me illustrate it this way. Most of us have downloaded ebooks now and then. After a while you just don’t seem to have enough time or interest to actually open them up and read them. “I’ll do it later”, we tell ourselves. Only later never comes. We get busy with some project or a new must-have product comes out that we have to go get.
There are so many different kinds of internet businesses out there that it’s impossible to do them all. The problem is that we exercise no self control and we end up trying to do everything. In the process of trying to do everything we lose focus of the goal. The goal is to set up a profitable online business and make money.
Can you imagine if every brick and mortar business person took this approach? You’d have doctors trying to be plumbers. Electricians would attempt to be bankers. Our world would be full of craziness because very few people would actually succeed.
In a topsy-turvy world like that I imagine quite a few people would claim that brick and mortar business was just a lot of hocus pocus and snake oil salesmen.
So, what’s the solution? Pick something, take action on it and implement it. Tweak it until you make it succeed. Enjoy the fruits of your labor.
Step one, though, is to stop trying to do everything and start doing something with detailed focus.
Yes, it sounds like a silly question but it isn’t. I’ve subscribed to newsletters that are absolutely fantastic and later ignored them. Why? They give too much great news and I can’t possibly spend that much time with them or absorb everything they’re teaching.
They become victims of their own success. There’s this one guy I subscribed to because I ran across a video he created and it gave absolutely dynomite information. The video was a bit long but it was chocked full of stuff that gave great benefit.
That was June 23rd. Today, just over 6 months later he’s sent me 94 videos or webinar invitations!
That’s about 3.5 videos or webinars a week for 6 months! Now lets do some math.
If you assume that 2 of those are webinars that last 1.5 hours apiece and 1.5 of them are videos that are 20 minutes long that’s a total of 3.5 hours a week of my time that this guy wants.
Ok, 3.5 hours out of a 40 hour week can’t be that bad can it? Absolutely it can. If I’m subscribed to just 10 lists of people like this I’m learning 35 hours a week and only working 5 hours a week. Yikes!
You’d think there aren’t 10 such people like this in the world but there are a lot more. Stop and think of it this way. If you are subscribed to a list that offers a single webinar a week or videos amounting to 1.5 hours a week that’s huge. A mere 27 subscriptions can dominate your entire week.
That’s if you’re a full time marketer. What if you only have a couple hours a night 7 nights a week. Half that many subscriptions will dominate you.
It’s vital that you prioritize who you listen to and even then you have to prioritize your time to make certain you’re working MORE HOURS than you’re learning.
Learning is great but the entire point of learning is the application of knowledge. If all you ever do is learn then you’ll spend money and not make any money.
I’m always surprised when people say they’re overwhelmed by all the newsletters they receive. They subscribe and they never seem to grade the newsletter. So I’m giving you a very simple way to handle newsletters and it’s not going to cost you a dime!
Set up 5 folders in your email program:
Newsletters – A List
Newsletters – B List
Newsletters – C List
Newsletters – D List
Newsletters – F List
Create a rule for automatically sorting email to the appropriate list. As you review someone’s list simply move them from folder to folder based on the grade you give them.
Just like students, newsletters tend to fluxuate in their grades. As they do, just downgrade them or upgrade them. Give your priority to the A list and some attention to the B list and skim the C list but ignore the D list and F list a bit. Check the D list once a week to see if it deserves and upgrade. Check the F list once a month to see if it deserves an upgrade.
This way you can reduce the amount of time you spend and get the best offers from the best newsletters.
Why not just unsubscribe? Good question. Like I pointed out, newsletters fluxuate. Why drop someone who may jump to the top of the list sometime? Hang onto everyone, pay attention to those who work for your attention.
