If only you had a list of 10,000 members that you could send an offer to you’d be able to make a regular income. Most marketers who have a list average $1.00 for every contact they have in their list. No wonder they say “the money is in the list”.

With your own list you can write your own ticket. Google AdWords costs can pile up quickly. Imagine paying just 10 cents per click. You’d spend $1,000 every time you emailed your list of 10,000 people. Good luck getting Adwords clicks for that price. You’ll likely pay $1.00 or more… now that $1,000 becomes $10,000!!!

Having your own list is better than any other method of driving traffic. Any time you run across a great product you can become an affiliate of that product and share it with your list. This is affiliate marketing at it’s finest. Your list members find a great product, you make money helping them find it, and the product owner makes money helping you make money. Everyone wins.

The problem is that you have to know how to build a list. Not only that but most people who have figured this out tend to either not share it or they charge so much you’d have to take out a loan to buy it. Well, I ran across a great offer from two average guys who discovered how to build a list and they’re willing to help others do the same. If you’ve talked to anyone lately or listened to the news I’m sure you’ve heard these type of comments. People are nervous and they’re concerned about the troubles that our world is going through. Rightly so. When times get tough people have to adjust for them.

How does someone who has a wealth mindset adjust to tough times? The same way they deal with everything else in life. You can focus on the problem or you can focus on the solution. What you focus on (concentrate on) is what will fill your mind. If you see bad economic times and that’s all you look at, then that’s all you’ll talk about and your mind will be conditioned to see more problems.

With your mind set on autopilot to see all the problems it will eliminate all the positive aspects of things and definitely shut out any solution to real problems.

For instance, if you’re breathing, that’s a very positive thing! Can you still see? Do you have the ability to hear? Are you able to walk? Yes, I know that sounds a bit Pollyanna but it’s real. By looking at the basic positive things around us and focusing on them we’ll begin to change our mindset. Once it’s changed, the world as we perceive it will change.

Those problems will still be there but it will be easier to find solutions to those problems. Life is filled with problems. We encounter them as part of our growth process. Just having a “don’t worry, be happy” attitude isn’t going to deal with those problems. Overcoming problems requires taking action. Not just action but correct action based on sound judgment. That kind of action can only occur once we’ve adjusted our perception with a health dose of positivity.

Let’s put this theory to the test. For the next seven day try this exercise and see if it doesn’t change your perception.

• Stop watching the news. Don’t watch any news. Don’t read any newspaper. Don’t read any news site or news blog.

• When you wake up in the morning, before you get out of bed, think of five things going right in your life.

• When you have lunch, write down one positive thing you’re going to take action on tonight to increase your wealth.

• After you’ve had supper spend at least 30 minutes actively working on that project.

• Just before you go to bed think of at least 3 positive things that have happened to you today.

After seven days your mind should be filled with positive thinking and positive perception. Many of the problems may still be there but you’ll be busy taking action to change your world. You’ll see more possibilities.

If we all began to apply our positive mindset to solving smaller problems that directly affect our lives we’d most likely find that the bigger problems will slowly but surely begin to be solved as well.

There are many reasons why people who get lots of money end up broke. One of them is their friends. There’s no doubt that who you are is largely determined by those with whom you associate. Who you hang with defines who you are. Hang with gang members and you’re a gang banger. Hang with political people and you’re a political animal.

I’m not saying that when you get money you should dump all your friends. I am saying that things will change. Even if you don’t change, the fact that you now have money will change how you’re perceived, even by your closest friends.

You may enthusiastically want to talk about going on a cruise in the Mediterranean. Your friends who don’t have that kind of disposable income may see that conversation as unrealistic or even snooty. They may simply be uncomfortable talking about something they probably won’t experience. They’re probably happy for you but that’s as far as it goes.

This isn’t such a bad situation but what may be bad is the probable negative attitudes they’ll voice. Negativity is a wealth destroyer. It must be avoided at all costs… even the cost of friendships. The bible says that bad company corrupts good character. It doesn’t say that evil company corrupts good character.

Even the closest of friends can be a source of negative influence. Often they don’t even realize what their doing. We live in a world of negativity and when everyone is negative it’s really hard to escape that negativity. We much choose to eliminate negative sources in our lives and to constantly guard the wealthy positive mindset we’ve achieved.

Periodically evaluate your associations. If your negative associations outnumber your positive associations then it’s time to do some math. Add new positive associations and remove negative ones. By pruning our relationship tree our money tree will blossom.

Money is money the world over…or is it. There are many different currencies in the world and they vary in value. Some types of currency can’t even be used in other countries. Some countries have multiple currencies that can be used. Just as money varies, so does traffic.

To begin with you have targeted traffic and untargeted traffic. Untargeted traffic is anyone that you can get to your site. That kind of traffic has extremely low conversion rates. They show up but they’re not the least bit interested in your offer. Targeted traffic, though, is looking for exactly what you have to offer. They’re much more likely to purchase your product and that will drive conversion way up.

Even within the targeted traffic there are divisions. There are those who have money who are interested in possibly making a purchase and there are those who are looking for freebies. Freebie seekers are definitely NOT interested in making a purchase. Their only goal is to get something for nothing. About the only real benefit of having freebie seekers coming to your site is to possibly launch a viral campaign. You’ll get tons more freebie seekers that way but you may be able to create a buzz for your product.

So we marketers focus on the prospects. Yet even within the prospects category we have a division. There are low end purchase prospects and high end purchase prospects. You’ll find that generally you’ll have more complaints and refunds coming from the low end purchase crowd. Low end is anything under $100.

High end purchasers generally don’t complain or request refunds as often. They are high end purchasers and low end maintenance customers. They also tend to become long term customers if your product provides quality. They’re the kind of customers you really want to reach out to and serve.

Remember, all traffic isn’t equal. Try to prequalify your traffic and your offers to reach out to the highest quality traffic.

People understand that this is a new venture for them. They understand that there’s a learning curve. The understand that what they encounter in running an online business is going to be completely new. Yet they don’t seem to understand that they have to think differently.

These same people know that if they get a new job they have to think differently. They know that if they get married they have to think differently. In new situations they know that a new mindset is an automatic given. Yet when I’ve tried to get them to think differently about business online they don’t understand and they even actively argue the point.

It’s Saturday morning and I’m lounging around. Clearing up work that hasn’t been finalized for this week, checking mail, listening to some promotional videos, and working with JV partners.

I’ve gotten so used to working full time as an internet marketer that I frequently forget that many of you out there have day jobs and have precious few hours to do your internet marketing.

I’d like to help you with that. I’ll start looking for ways that you can maximize your time and start posting those online. Meanwhile, why don’t you start posting what you feel you need the most. This is your opportunity to put me to work for you.
